[27.09.2010] ideas2evidence to evaluate regional trainee programs.
The project is commissioned by The Centre of Competence on Rural Development (Distriktssenteret) - a unit of the the Norwegian Ministry of Regional Affairs. The aim of the project is to document and evaluate the effects of regional trainee programs as an instrument to attract young and competent people to rural communities. Nine different programs from various regions in Norway will be included in the study.
ideas2evidence will use a research design combining quantitative and qualitative data to shed light on this question. This includes a survey to current and past trainees, as well as qualitative interviews with program leaders, a selection of trainees, member companies and financing bodies.
The project will be delivered in January 2011.
